Nigerian Puff Puff

1½ Cups of Bread Flour
½ Cup of Sugar
1½ Tsp of Dried Yeast
½ Tsp of Salt
250ml of Warm Water
1 Tsp Ground Nutmeg…..Optional
1 Tsp Orange Zest…..Optional
Oil for Frying

In a metal bowl, mix all dry ingredients except for optional ingredients and add warm water. Using your hand, mix all ingredients in sweeping motion until all the lumps dissolve (about 3 minutes). Cover bowl with a towel and place in a warm oven (oven must be off and not hot but warm do this by turning on oven for 3 minutes at 375 degrees and then turn heat off.) and leave for 1 hour. Heat up oil to 375 degrees. Add Nutmeg and orange zest and fold using hands into dough mix. Place dough in handfuls into hot oil and cook until browned (About 3 minutes). Remove from oil and drain on paper towel. Allow to cool, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
